Fernando Castelan's Obituary
Fernando Castelán Hernández passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at the age of 74 in Dallas Tx surrounded by family and loved ones. Fernando was born on June 5th, 1946 in Santiago Tulantepec, Hidalgo Mexico to Nazario Castelán Pérez and Concepción Hernández Bojorge. He grew up in Santiago Tulantepec and attended Martin Urrutia School in the same town. He immigrated to the Dallas Ft Worth area in the United States in or around 1976 where he lived until his departure.
He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Alma Castelán Alvarado; his children, Luis Fernando, Irma, Concepción, Jaime, Lilia, Alma Rosa Castelan and Gloria Rodriguez. He is also survived by his siblings Sara Castelán, Raul Castelán, Victoria Felix Cabrera, Arturo Castelán and a very extensive family including lots of grandkids.
Fernando worked for over 35 years for Marmon Mortor-Navistar-International Trucking Company until his retirement in October 2013. He was a very dedicated crew leader.
Fernando loved to play soccer in his youth and later became a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved the outdoors, grilling, in the company of his family. He loved to travel and do spontaneous camping trips with his kids when they were younger.
Fernando was a gentle patriarch and a pillar of the family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
