Frances Fitzgerald Horak's Obituary
Born in Springfield, OH on April 19, 1931. Passed away in Dallas, TX on January 3, 2015. Attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. Graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas. Member of Alpha Chapter of Delta Zeta. Married Ralph L. Horak in 1952 and moved to Midland, TX in 1952. Fran substituted in the Richardson ISD for many years. She liked playing bridge, traveling, reading, being with people, and working the New York Times crossword puzzles. She loved her wonderful loving family and all her very caring friends. Fran is survived by her greatly loved husband, Ralph Horak; her three children: Karen Fine and her husband, David Fine, of Charleston, SC, Susan Hasek and her husband, Chris Hasek, of Plano, TX; and Allen Horak and his wife, Tracy Horak, of Coppell, TX; her six grandchildren: Jerasen White, Foster Horak, Erin Hasek, Milam Horak, Caeden Horak, and Luke Horak; her great grandson Preston White; and a special family of Kelly and Tim Rothgeb and their daughters Faith and Olivia of Vacaville, CA. Her body will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2014 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Memorials may be sent to Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (“PCHAS”), 4407 Bee Cave Road, Suite 520, Austin, TX 78746.
