Frances Margaret Volding's Obituary
Frances Volding was born on January 28, 1923 in Wharton, Texas and passed away February 19, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Donald Volding. Survived by daughters Barbara and spouse Robert Sullivan of Dallas Texas, Linda and spouse David Fyffe of Richardson Texas, Catherine and spouse John Jones of Austin Texas and son Richard Volding and spouse Andrea of Germany. She was a loving grandmother “Nanny” to Lindsay, Jessica, Ryan, Shannon, Sydney, and Chloe. The hobbies Frances enjoyed included playing golf and quilting. Her golf game was impressive achieving a hole in one at least once. She began to quilt later in life and left many beautiful quilts behind to be remembered by. She was an avid reader and loved working daily crossword puzzles. She was happy celebrating life with family and friends. Frances loved people and never met a stranger. She was a devoted Catholic. One of the best lessons she taught her family was that of unconditional love. She was greatly loved and will be missed. Service will be held on February 27, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Restland Abbey Chapel. 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas Tx. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
