Mr. Franklin M. Bradshaw's Obituary
Passed away on Sunday October 28, 2007. He was born July 29, 1920 in Greenville, Texas to Clarence and Lura Bradshaw. He is survived by his wife 59 years, Mary E. (Liz) Bradshaw and daughter and son-in-law Patricia Ann and Dan Cole, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lenora E. McCormack, Iva Lee Gideon, and E. Juanita Dickens. He graduated from Longview High School and then Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1943. He served three years in the Army, in the USA, Europe, and Africa. He received Honorable Discharge as Capt. in Signal Corps in July 1946, and went to work for Texas Power & Light Co. During his 39 years of service to the company, he supervised numerous electrical plants including nuclear energy. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, and was a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Other community service includes membership in Kiwanis, and he served as Past Master of the White Lodge #234 in Addison, Texas. He has been a member of Park Cities Baptist Church since February 13, 1955. He and Liz served as volunteers for the library at Park Cities for 40 years. He was a man of faith and very generous. He will be greatly missed. The family thanks the capable staff of Walnut Place and Faith Hospice in the care given to Brad.
