Franklin D. Quarles' Obituary
Franklin D. Quarles joined his beloved wife Gwen and his daughters Donna and Karen on March 14, 2016. He loved his family and his country. At age 17, after graduating from Durant High School, he walked back and forth from Durant to Sherman twice to enlist in the Air Force. He served 24 years, including two foreign wars, and retired as a Senior Chief Master Sergeant. After retiring, he relocated to Plano, Texas and worked for Hewlett Packard until his second retirement. Along the way he earned his bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, becoming the first person in his family to earn a degree. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Beverley and Philip Watts, his son, Gary Quarles, grand children Nick and Weston Watts, Cassie Vickous and Trey Spargo. He was recently blessed with two great grandchildren, Brinlee and Evie. Graveside Service with full military honors will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 1 PM at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
