Franklin Willard Wright's Obituary
Franklin Willard Wright, who was 89 years old, entered fully into the presence of the Lord and was reunited with his wife of 56 years, Mary Ruth Sartin Wright, on the morning of Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Karen Sue Wright Tillman, who he loved with all of his heart.
Frank grew up in Illinois and moved to Texas after serving in the US Army during the Korean War.
Frank was a devoted Christian man and long-time member of Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. He enjoyed volunteering in the church and participating in church activities.
Frank had a rich, full life and until recently, continued to live independently in Garland, Texas. He passed away at his daughter’s home in Fort Worth, Texas.
Frank enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and going on church fishing trips.Frank also enjoyed deer and elk hunting in Pegosa Springs, Colorado with long time family friend, Randy Cook of Plano, Texas.
Frank was a long-time Baylor fan. He continued enjoying attending Baylor football games and Baylor women’s basketball games and travelling to football bowl games and basketball tournaments with his daughter.
Frank treasured his many dear, close friends who loved him as a part of their own family.
Frank will be missed by many.
