Gary Delmont Cross' Obituary
Cross, Gary D. DALLAS – Gary Delmont Cross, 77 went peacefully into the arms of our Lord, Saturday, April 23, 2011. He was born on September 5, 1933 in Statesville, North Carolina to Jettie & Thurman Cross. He grew up in Portsmouth, VA and moved to Dallas in 1963 with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife Janie Cross; sons Steve, Eric; daughter Laura Hebert; grandchildren; Emily, Andrew and Alexandra. He began his career as a union pipefitter and became a vice president of the largest mechanical contractor in the world. His working travels took him to ICBM missile silos in Wyoming and Mercury Mission launching pads at Cape Canaveral. Gary was a good husband, wonderful Dad and most cherished Grandfather. His love and compassion for his wife, children and grandchildren knew no bounds. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia Floyd. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home, Greenville Rd., Dallas, TX on Wednesday, April 27th at 7:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 3:00 p.m. at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
