Gary Morgan Wright's Obituary
Gary Morgan Wright, 66, of Plano, Texas passed away with family by his side on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. He was born on September 7, 1955 in Roanoke, Virginia. Gary's family eventually settled in North Texas where he met his wife of almost 45 years, Ruth Wright. Gary is preceded in death by his father (Woodrow Wright), mother (Nelda Wright), and brothers, Dave Wright and Glenn Wright. He spent most of his professional life working in the retail sector, ultimately retiring in 2020. He was a gentle, kind, and easy-going man. He was a great father and proud of his boys. Gary loved spending time with his family & friends. Gary is survived by his wife Ruth Wright, sons Wesley Wright, Matthew Wright, & Marcus Wright, brother Thomas Wright (wife Julie Wright), sister Lori Alley (husband Dave Alley), sister-in-law Elizabeth Sims Wright, nieces Heather Alley, Hannah Alley, & Lauren Wright, and nephews Jeff Wright & Jacob Wright. Gary fought a long battle with kidney disease and would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, technicians, and other professionals at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, Dallas Nephrology, and Dallas Transplant Institute for many years of quality care. Gary and his family are especially grateful to Dr. Richard Dickerman for his extraordinary work and dedication.
