Geoffrey Norman Fewell's Obituary
Geoffrey Norman Fewell “aka” Uncle Bubba 02/18/59 – 05/08/13 Geoffrey Norman Fewell, aka “Uncle Bubba”, was born on February 18, 1959 in Boston, Massachusetts and passed away on May 8, 2013 in Dallas, Texas at his home after a lengthy illness. Geoffrey was a loving son, father, brother and friend. He attended Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas and graduated in 1978. He worked and managed several Sonic Food Restaurants in both Dallas and Garland for over 30 years. He volunteered for the City of Dallas at Harry Stone Recreation Center for “Special Events” cooking the “best hot dogs” in town, naming him “The Hot Dog Man”. Even when he was not up to par, he would sit in a chair and continue to give out orders. For his unselfish volunteering efforts, he was honored during Volunteer Week by the City of Dallas (PARD) by awarding him with (4) Excellent Service Awards. “Uncle Bubba” was a joy to be around; he loved playing pinochle on Wednesday nights, dominoes, eating good food, laughing, having a good time but, most of all, he loved the Dallas Cowboys… always patiently waiting for the big “TOUCHDOWN”, then saying “Alright Cowboys, give it to me now”. Geoffrey is survived in death by his mother, Jon M. Fewell; two sons, Da’Karius Brown, Geoffrey Rodriquez Fewell; his four sisters, Regina M. Daniels (Joel), Laverne M. Peters, Rhonda M. Fewell, Wendy ELB Wilks (Byron); his Uncle Charlie Durrah; grandchildren, Chanel Murphy, Jayte Davis, Keeonta Scott; many cousins, nieces and nephews “and still growing”, and a host of friends. Uncle Bubba will be missed by his family and many friends. The Fewell family would like to thank you for your support, your many prayers, cards, emails, and telephone calls.
