George Mann's Obituary
MANN, GEORGE BOLEY Born February 16, 1912 in Decatur, TX to Linn and Luna Mann and passed away January 12, 2007. George received a degree in Civil Engineering from SMU. During WWII he worked in Ordinance Dept. at Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland, where he met his future wife, Elizabeth Gaines. Retired from Texas Dept. of Transportation after 34 years. Active in ASCE and NSPE, Active in the construction of many Texas roads. He mentored many young engineers. He was active in NAIC, helped to organize various chapters and was president for 15 years of Tex Dot Credit Union. George is survived by wife, Elizabeth; brothers, Arthur and Pat N. Mann; sisters, Zella Lewis, Vesta Ice and Doris Farrow; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Restland Memorial Park.
