George M. Raulins' Obituary
George Maxwell (Max) Raulins went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 23, 2021. Born on February 22, 1927 to Bert Lee and Mary Farr Raulins, Max was raised in the Masonic Home in Natchez, Mississippi. He joined the US Navy in 1944 and received an Honorable Discharge as Gunners Mate, 3'd Class in 1947. After graduating from Texas A&M in 1951 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, he worked for Otis Engineering/Halliburton as well as several other oil field service companies for over 40 years where he was inventor or co-inventor of over 35 patents. Max married Liesel Louise Neal on February 14, 1953 and has 3 children. He was a charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmers Branch from 1957 until its closure in 2011 and currently a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Carrollton. He was a member of several church and professional organizations, most notably the Metrocrest Hospital Authority Board for over 20 years, serving as chairman for 2 years. Max's faith in God and love for his family and friends has been a beacon of light for all who knew him. Max is preceded in death'by his parents, 7 siblings and spouses, and his wife Liesel, the light of his life. He is survived by his 3 children Cynthia, Steve, and Dan (wife Missy), grandchildren Andrew Raulins and Jessica Farley (husband Jake) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be at Restland Funeral home on April 30, 2021 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Private burial for family and invited guests will be on May 1, 2021 followed by a memorial service for all family and friends at 2:00PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Carrollton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to The Gideon's International.
