Melvin, Geraldine born July 20, 1937 in Ennis, Texas and passed away August 15, 2015 in Mesquite, Texas. Preceded in death by father, Joe J. Svehlak; mother, Rosie Vrana-Svehlak; brother, Joe Wesley Svehlak. Survived by husband, Joe Melvin; sister, Henrietta Steele; son, Mike Melvin and husband David Smith plus family; son, Gregory Joe Melvin and wife Zoe Melvin; granddaughter, Alicia Choate and husband Joshua Choate; great granddaughter, Arya; grandson, Tristan Melvin; grandson, Kaleb Zander Melvin; Christopher and Shannon Ezpinoza and family; Reina and Dean Dugger and family. Family will receive friends on August 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on August. 19, 2015 at 1:30PM at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
