Gladys J. Taylor's Obituary
Gladys Joyce McKinney was born on May 20, 1933 to J.R. McKinney and Georgia Portley McKinney in Henderson, TX. She was a teacher in Longview, TX and a Navajo reservation in Arizona. Upon moving back to Texas in 1972, Gladys had a successful career with the U.S. Dept. of Justice until she retired in 1992. After a prolonged illness, Gladys went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2016. E. L. Taylor, her husband of 54 years preceded her in death. Gladys is survived by her children Lisa Taylor-Kennedy (Keith), Kevin Taylor (Tonya) both of Sunnyvale, TX and Brenda Graham (David) of Arkadelphia, AK; her only sibling Dorothy Wells (Alexander), her grandchildren Hunter Kennedy, Dillon Kennedy, Kareem Graham (Lianna), her niece Sabrina Holloway(Greg), and two great grandchildren. Gladys will be missed by a host of relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. Luke Community United Methodist Church on R. L. Thornton Parkway in Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
