Gordon Elliott Davis Jr.'s Obituary
Gordon passed away December 1, 2015 at the age of 73, after a short battle with cancer. He was survived by his daughters Lisa LeBlanc and Julie Landsaw, their husbands Danny LeBlanc and Jim Landsaw, his sister Mary Jackson and his beloved grandchildren Kate, Natalie, Sarah Jane, Rob, Jack and Luke and many nieces, nephews and “adopted grandchildren. Gordon, son of Martha Nadean and Gordon Sr. grew up in Dallas and graduated from South Oak Cliff High school where he played on the high school baseball team and was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1964 with a business major. He formed strong bonds in the E2 regiment of the core, caring for Reveille. He served in the military police in Albuquerque, NM. On his return to Dallas he excelled as a commercial real estate broker and helped start the Swearingen Realty group in 1972 where he worked until retirement. He enjoyed entertaining his grandkids at his lake house or home in Allen, attending their sporting events, hunting, dining with friends and traveling. Gordon was a loving father, an amazing grandfather and friend to many who will never forget his good humor and desire to help others. His actions giving testimony to his savior Jesus Christ. A memorial service will be held at Northway Christian Church, Friday, Dec. 4, 3-5 p.m. 7202 Northwest Highway, Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
