Greg Hoh's Obituary
Mr. Greg Hoh was born in 1940, from Enping County, Guangdong Province, China. Shortly after that, because of the reduction of workforce in his department, he was relocated to TI in Midland. And the Hohs’ family moved to Midland, Texas. Seven years later, because of the economic recession we moved back to Dallas again. He had a pleasant personality, was very open-minded, enjoyed helping others, was an eloquent and persuasive speaker, loved and respected by his students, and had good interpersonal relationships with others. After he came to US, he became very handy, self-taught carpentry and very skillful in fixing computers. He was able to fix everything and do all the maintenance works. He was a very self-discipline manager at work, and was a math and science teacher at home. Through self-sacrifices, he had managed to provide the college expenses for all his three daughters until they all got married. During the last few years, he had enjoyed photographing through getting advises from experts and editing photos. He was the member/leader of the Poetry Society and Choir group. He was an excellent writer, expertized in writing poetry and translation. At leisure time, he loved to go fishing and take pictures with his grandchildren. On June 8th, he went outing, horse riding, and photographing with a group of friends. Unexpectedly, he fell off from the horse back and severely injured. He went through intensive treatments in hospital for several days, but they were unable to keep him alive and he went to be with the Lord. In our Mom’s heart, our father is always the strong pillar to her that she was able to trust and depend on. In his daughters’ hearts, he is always the mighty Superman. In his grandchildren’s hearts, he is always an inspiring playmate. His unexpected leaving, we are unwilling to let him leave, but he will always live in our hearts.
