Helen Lee Hendricks Clark's Obituary
Helen Lee Hendricks Clark, 86, passed away on January 22, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on March 5, 1930 in Anna, Texas to Larkin Verdelle Hendricks and Sarah Lee (Rampy) Hendricks. She graduated as the Valedictorian of McKinney High School at the age of 16, and graduated from North Texas State College at 19 with a BS in Business Administration. She began her career at American Liberty Oil Company in Dallas. Helen later earned a Master’s Degree in Education and taught first grade in the Dallas ISD for 26 years. She married her beloved husband, Sidney Frank Clark, on September 4, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. They were married for 41 years until his death in 1995. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Charles Dale Hendricks and sister Ruth Marie (Hendricks) Ready. Survived by daughters Susan Clark and Jeana Clark Cunningham (Duane); grandsons Drew Cunningham and Travis Cunningham (Ashley); many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to her faithful caregivers, Martha Asrat, Guadalupe Guerrero and Teresa Mills. Pallbearers: Marvin Clark, Sid Clark, Drew Cunningham, Duane Cunningham, Travis Cunningham and Tim Towson A service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Restland Funeral Home, Abbey Chapel, in Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, January 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
