Hongjie Ding's Obituary
My esteemed father, Hongjie Ding, was born in Shanghai on April 23, 1944. On March 2, 2025, he passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas due to a sudden cerebral hemorrhage, despite medical efforts. He was 80 years old.
In accordance with our family's wishes, a farewell ceremony will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
My late father was intelligent and skillful, treating others with sincerity and working tirelessly for those he loved. In his career, he was a highly respected automatic control senior engineer; in his personal life, he was a gentle and caring husband, a loving and devoted father, and a kind grandfather. He practiced vegetarianism and Buddhism for many years. Though we are deeply saddened by his passing, we sincerely hope he embarks on a peaceful journey and reaches the Western Pure Land under the guidance of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas.
家严丁鸿杰，生于1944年4月23日，上海。于2025年3月2日，因突发脑溢血，医治无效，在达拉斯家中安详辞世，享年80岁。
谨遵慈命，兹定于2025年3月18日（星期二）上午10:30，在Restland Funeral Home 举行告别仪式。
先父聪慧灵巧，待人真诚，为所爱之人不辞辛劳。在工作中，他是备受敬重的自动化控制高级工程师；在生活中，他是温柔体贴的丈夫，慈爱关怀的父亲与外祖父。父亲长期茹素念佛，虽万般不舍，唯愿他在佛菩萨的庇佑下，安然往生西方极乐世界。
