Ivor W. Bergquist's Obituary
BERGQUIST, IVOR W. was born on February 18, 1922 in Sioux City, Iowa and passed away December 29, 2012 in Richardson, Texas. Preceded in death by wife, Josephine Bergquist; and son, Carl Bergquist. Ivor is survived by daughter, Karen Garrett; granddaughter, Sarah Ewell and husband Clint; great grandson, Colton Ewell; and close family friends, Terry Tubbs and Tammy Rogers. Ivor spent 6 years in the U.S. Navy in fire control and was a survivor of the USS North Hampton (Nora). He then spent 20 years in the U.S. Army as a warrant officer. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any mental health research group of your choosing in Ivor’s name.
