Jack Harland Harris' Obituary
Jack Harland Harris, age 82, went to meet his maker at 8:00 pm, June 9th, with his wife of 62 years by his side. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Ronald and Michael, his parents, Lee and Geneva Harris, 2 brothers, W.L. and Charles, and one sister, Virginia. He leaves behind his wife Montie, his son, Jason,6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Jack was born in Amarillo, TX, October 4, 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Randolph from the age 17 until the war was over and helped bring the troops home from Italy. He was branch manager and vice president of Penland Distributors in Amarillo, Odessa, and Dallas for 40 years. He later joined Lone Star Distrubutors until his retirement in 1987. He was an avid golpher and fisherman and loved those cowboys. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
