Jackie Robinson Vaughter, Born July 6, 1936 in Dallas, TX. passed away peacefully at home December 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William R. Vaughter, and her parents Wilma and Jack Robinson.Jackie was a lifelong resident of Dallas, a graduate of Sunset High School, a 51-year member of First United Methodist Church, Dallas a 50-year member of Sokol Zizka, Dallas and a 31-year member of Beta Sigma Phi.She retired in 2016 from SBB Management where she had worked 10 years as a property manager. Jackie spent 25 years in residential real estate.Jackie met and married W.R Vaughter in 1957 while both were working at Oil Well Supply. They started their family with the addition of their 3 children. Jackie loved with her larger than life heart and found great joy in entertaining, decorating and gardening. Sharing laughs and love with her friends and family was one of her greatest pleasures. And the addition of Katie to her family was one of her greatest treasures.Jackie will be forever loved and deeply missed by her children Brenna (Gary), Brent, Kara, Katie, Grandchildren; Brittney (Guy), Devin (Noelani) Brianne, Garrison (Morgan), Karis (Blake) as well as 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Glenda (Charles) Goss and brother Ray Robinson (Karen), a niece and several nephews.The family will receive guest Saturday, December 22, 2018, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM with burial at 4:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave Dallas, Texas 75243. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Dember 23, 2018 at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church – Dallas located at 1928 Ross Ave Dallas, Texas 75201.Funeral arrangements for Jackie Lou Vaughter have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
