James Collings “J.C.” Cole, IV, 52, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2016. J.C. was born on October 27, 1963, in Dallas, Texas to Ruth and James Collings Cole, III. He grew up in the Catholic community and attended St. Monica Catholic School. He was an altar boy and Cub Scout and started his career in sales by winning a trip to Disney World by selling the most magazine subscriptions in 3rd grade. J.C. attended Jesuit College Preparatory School and was in the Class of 1982. He loved football and wanted to participate, but asthma was a hindrance, so he became a cheerleader. J.C. was always finding a solution! He attended the University of Texas at Austin and pledged the Sigma Nu fraternity. He worked at his parents restaurant, Mr. C’s, in the mid-80s before he began working for the Better Business Bureau. J.C. was an avid salesman, starting in 3rd grade, and was one of the top salesmen at the Better Business Bureau. He eventually moved to Bethesda, MD, and obtained his Series 7 license to work in finance. In 2001, he moved back to Texas and married the love of his life, Stephanie. He had a kind heart and was always there to lend an ear. He volunteered at numerous community service organizations and treasured his King Charles Spaniels, Cheyenne, Bella, Gracie and Bogey. He loved to travel, and one of his fondest memories was the trip he made to Lake Louise with Stephanie. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Cole of Dallas; parents, James and Ruth Cole of Frisco; sister, Christy and her husband Ernie Burbage of Frisco; brother, Brian and his wife Sara Cole of Frisco; nieces and nephews, Shannon Burbage, Bailey Cole, E.J.
