James F. Lohre's Obituary
Lohre, James F. was born to Ralph and Margaret Lohre in July 1926 in Covington, KY. Jim departed this world after a fulfilling life on August 10, 2014 at the age of 88. He is preceded by his parents and brothers, Tom Lohre and Robert Lohre. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Lohre; son and wife, Robert and Gail Lohre; daughter and husband, Cathy and Dean Ueckert; sister, Patricia Marie Lohre and daughter and husband, Mary Butler and James Cleary; 2 grandsons, James and Joe; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer and Bethany; 4 great granddaughters, Cherish, Sarah, Haley and Sophie and 29 nephews and nieces. He proudly served his country as a CWO III in the US Army for 23 years, a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. After retiring to Garland Texas, Jim continued his career with 20 years at Texas Instruments in Dallas Texas. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was circled by many friends as a long time member of the 4th Degree Mother Teresa Assembly Knights of Columbus who will be performing the Honor Guard services, a long time member of the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Garland Texas, a founding member of the Garland Knights of Columbus, square dancer and officer in the K Bar C Square Dance Club and those friends that loved camping with Good Sams. The family would like to recognize and share their appreciation for the many friends and the heartfelt care Jim received through the many nurses and caregivers at the Christian Care Center in Mesquite Texas over the past year and half. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rosary and visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Memorial services will be led by Father Joseph Mehan and held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by Graveside services.
