James Loy Ray's Obituary
RAY, JAMES LOY beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away at home July 23, 2008. He faced the difficult diagnosis of esophageal adenocarcinoma 17 months ago with courage and good humor. James was born April 16, 1937 and lived in the Dallas area most of his life. He was a graduate of North Dallas High School and the University of North Texas. James was a custom homebuilder in north Dallas for many years. Recently, he worked across the country as an independent catastrophic insurance adjuster. James is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jo; two sons, Mark and daughter-in-law Janet of Plano, and Matt of San Francisco; two grandchildren, Tabitha Ray and Austin Ray; sister Brenda Ray of Carrollton, brother and sister-in-law Ron and Barbara Branch of Carrollton; nephews Scott Branch of Dallas and Brad Branch and wife Sara of Lantana, and great nieces and nephew Brianna, Sydney, and Diego Branch. Services will be at 10am on Saturday, July 26 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel. The family requests that memorials be made to Christ’s Haven for Children.
