ALCORN, JAMES “JIMMY” O. born to Venus and Mabel Alcorn on June 15, 1934 in Sulphur Springs, TX and passed away April 18, 2014 in Garland, TX. James was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty Alcorn. He is survived by children: Brenda Alcorn Shamburg, Renda Alcorn Reed, James Alcorn, Jr., Barbara Alcorn Brunson, Ronald Alcorn; grandchildren, Joshua Forsyth, Donnie Brunson, Jeffrey Reed, Kara Shamburg, Dana Fontenot, Kristi Meister, Christopher Alcorn, Bryan Alcorn, Zona Alcorn, Zack Alcorn; great grandchildren, Alyssa Forsyth, Tyler Shamburg, Taylor Forsyth, Parker Brunson, Blakely Brunson, Maci Meister, and Corbin Fontenot. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2014 at Memorial Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
