SMITH, JR., JAMES LOUIS “SMITTY” Born June 15, 1920 in Vickery, TX and passed away January 31, 2007 in Sachse, TX. Smitty is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jerrye Smith; sons, Larry Smith and wife, Kathy, Mike Smith and wife, Penny, and Kenny Smith and wife, Samantha; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. Smitty served in the U.S. Navy retiring after 20 years service. He worked and retired from Owens Country Sausage in 1986. He was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Richardson where he and his wife taught the two year old Sunday school class for over 15 years.
