Mr. James Arthur Thomas' Obituary
THOMAS, JAMES ARTHUR, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 20, 2007 after fighting numerous health problems for many years. He was born in Iowa, served in the U.S. Army, and was a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering. He and his family moved to Richardson in 1967. Jim was an electrical engineer for Collins Radio Company, Recognition Equipment Company, and Currency Systems International until retirement. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Virginia; two daughters, Patti (Ken) Wilson, and Lisa (Paul) Boisvert; granddaughter, Alyssa Boisvert; sister, Joann (Doug) Christensen; step-granddaughter, Tori Cervantez, step-grandsons, Paul and Michael (Lacey) Boisvert, and Don Wilson; step-great grandson, Cole Boisvert; three nieces, one nephew and families. His hobbies were building model railroad layouts, reading, and cooking. He was always an optimist and enjoyed creatively using his hands. Jim was a member of Waterview Church of Christ and enjoyed working at the Benevolence House. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, September 24, 2007 and funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in Restland Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Oglesby Foundation at Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson; 1409 N. Waterview Dr., Richardson, TX 75080.
