James Roddis Zivney's Obituary
1927 – 2008 Jim Zivney died the way he lived, surrounded by loving family. A veteran of World War II and the Occupation of Japan, Jim dutifully served his country in the Navy and U.S. Air Corps and later as an Aerospace Engineer working to protect the security of the U.S. He loved flying his plane, hunting, and playing bridge but most of all he loved his family. Jim is survived by Claire, his wife of 59 years; his daughters Olivia Zivney, Cheri Purser, Beverly Sigler, and Rebecca Tanner; ten Grandchildren; and four Great Grandchildren. After a brief struggle with cancer Jim passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2008. A memorial service will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Thursday, October 2 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
