Jane Leal Ledesma's Obituary
Jane Leal Ledesma, age 76 of Carrollton, TX was born on September 24th, 1946, as Juana Leal in Laredo, TX to Alfonso Leal II and Maria Luisa Soliz-Leal. Jane was called home to eternal rest on June 2, 2023.
Jane received her master’s degree from Michigan State University in Social Work, and Urban Studies/Affairs & studied counselling psychology at Western Michigan University. She was a Management Consultant at MHN and owned her own Private Practice in Dallas, Texas.
Jane was a Civil Rights Leader for the Hispanic community, The Chicano Movement and a spokesperson for Women’s Rights and fight against Breast Cancer. Loved music and dancing especially Cojunto. Jane was always Big on embracing her Chicana lifestyle. Loved spending time with family and enjoyed traveling. Jane was an inspiration and role model to her family, friends and community and will be dearly missed.
Preceded in death by: Mother Maria Luisa Soliz, Father Alfonso Leal II, brothers Gilberto Leal and Antonio Leal, daughter Katy Ledesma.
Survived by brothers Roberto Leal and Luis Leal, sisters Maria Salazar and Melonie (Joe) Chavez, children Gilbert (Suzie) Ledesma Jr, Elicio Leal, Cindy (Dale) Singletary, Denise Ramirez, Ezequiel (Kathy) Ledesma, 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.

Service Information: Tuesday June 6, 2023, visitation with family 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Service at 2:00pm with burial immediately following.
