Janine Kay Arrington's Obituary
On August 17, 2022, Janine Kay Arrington, "Janni", went home to be with her Creator. We will miss her greatly but will see her again. What a great day that will be! During her final days she received an overwhelming amount of love and support from hundreds of friends and family. She particularly loved the worship services we held at the house, surrounded by those she cherished most. In her last moments, her main priority was to praise God…now she is with Him! Words seem inadequate to express the joy Janni brought; her memory will live forever in us.
Janni was born February 3, 1961, in Columbus, Nebraska to Melvin and Lois (Reusser) Krehbiel. They moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1964, she graduated from Bradford High School 1979 and participated in Kids from Wisconsin and the Great America Singers.
Janni was real. She could level with anyone; she was a gentle encourager and an inspiration for many. She poured her heart and life into her husband Chris, and her four boys, Chase, Reese, Bryce, and Brooks. Janni absolutely adored Chase’s wife Nico and daughter Emma. While Janni didn’t get the opportunity to meet the newest Arrington, Daisy, on earth, we believe she was in Heaven helping God form her final details before sending her to us. Janni now celebrates in Heaven with her father Mel Krehbiel, her older brother Stan, and her father-in-law Jerry Arrington. Janni’s surviving family include her mother Lois Krehbiel, mother-in-law Leta Arrington, sister Marcy Oliver (husband Roger), brother Roger Krehbiel, brother Kerry Krehbiel (wife Debbie), brother Randy Krehbiel (wife Karla), sister-in-law Jan Love, and brother-in-law David Arrington (wife Shelley). We have 12 nieces and nephews: Bud Oliver, Kathryn Venable, Jason Krehbiel, Stephanie Wittwer, Alyssa Pepin, Cameron Krehbiel, Jennifer Montemurro, Ryan Krehbiel, Ellen Burch, D.J. Arrington, Amy Arrington, and Katy Grace LaFoy.
Janni's lasting impact will be carried on through her family and friends. As my wife, I treasured her openness and compassion. She helped me to be patient and thoughtful. As a mom, her four boys could not have had a better role model. Her prayer for the success of her sons was for them to be kind men and to follow God. She treated our boy's friends like family. She loved her family and friends enough to tell them the hard things that only a good relative or friend would say and mean it only for good. Janni loved worshiping God in song and was blessed to be a part of the formation of Kessler Community Church. She was my rock at Arrington Roofing who kept me from some, not all, of my impulsive ideas. Her smile would light up a room. She would spend time with you and truly be interested in your story. Janni's love and care will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Janni's graveside service is a private event.
Faith Bible Church in DeSoto,Texas, will host Janni’s Celebration of Life service at the end of October or the beginning of November. The specific date and time are to be determined.
