Jeane Turner Terry's Obituary
Jeane Turner Terry, 86, was born October 9, 1928 in Dallas, Texas and passed away March 10, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Luther Browning Terry; her two brothers John “Jack” Turner and Dick Ragland Turner, and her parents John Williams Turner and Margaret Ragland Turner. Survived by her son, Mark Terry; son, Bruce Terry and wife Laura; and grandchildren Brian and Andrew Terry. Jeane was raised in Eastland, Texas. She attended Lindenwood College, and graduated from the University of Texas, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. After graduating, she worked for the Dallas Morning News. Most of her life was devoted to making a home and raising her children. She appreciated fine art and antiquities and collected throughout her life. She was genteel and generous to a fault. The funeral service for Jeane will be at 12:30 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
