Jeanne Rousseau's Obituary
Rousseau, Jeanne Gunn, age 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Arbor House in Weatherford. She was born July 17, 1918 in Dubuque, Iowa. Jeanne was a long time resident of Dallas, working as an English teacher at Highland Park High School, and later as an artist. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald and sister, Elizabeth Schober. Jeanne is survived by her son, Carl, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Shannon and Ian, all of Weatherford; sister, Sally Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 117 Ranch House Road, Willow Park, TX 76087. The family particularly thanks the caregivers at Arbor House in Weatherford for making Jeanne’s last 4 years as comfortable as possible. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
