Jerry Wayne Swafford, 82, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, in Denton, Texas. He was born to the parents of Clint Allen Swafford and Essie Dockery Swafford on Tuesday, March 14, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. Jerry leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him. Jerry is remembered by his hobbies and interests in engineering, hunting and gardening. He was a Patent-holding Inventor. His survivors include the love of his life, Nita Swafford; Daughter Dena Meek (David) of Oak Point, Texas; Grandchild, Dylan Ladwig of Oak Point, Texas. Jerry was preceded in death by his Parents, Clint and Essie Swafford; his Grandparents; his Daughter, Gayla Swafford; his Brother, Allen Swafford; his Sisters: Polly Bledsoe, Jean Cunningham, Joanne Swafford and Betty Sue Winfree. The family requests Memorials be sent to the City of Oak Point Parks Department for Trees, 100 Naylor Road, Oak Point, Texas 75068.
