Joan McBee's Obituary
Joan (Zimmerman) McBee age 88 passed away on Dec. 7, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Millford, Nebraska, spent some of her childhood in Colorado, then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1946. She met and then married Joe McBee just after his service in the US Army Air Corp. She had four children in the next five years, three girls and a boy. Her ambition in life was to be a good mother. Her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her can verify that she was indeed a good one. Her house was always in order, something good was cooking in the kitchen, her arms were open and a laugh never far away. She spent her life being a devoted wife, an awesome mother, always caring for others and she will be greatly missed. Joan and Joe were married for 65 years, he proceded her in death three years ago. She is survived by her brother Don Zimmerman of Livermore, CA, daughter Karen McGowan and son in law Ron of Dallas, daughter Nicki and son in law Bobby of Euless, son Patrick and daughter in law Kathy of Las Vegas, and daughter Laura of Dallas; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. At her request there will be only a short graveside service for immediate family.
