JoAnn Whitaker's Obituary
WHITTAKER, JOANN A Bastrop, LA native and resident of Dallas, TX for the last twenty-five years. She is survived by her children Brent Whitaker, Kim Stidham (David), Alisha Neel (Robert). Grandchildren Amanda Scribner (Lee), Matthew Lively, Joseph Kottenbrook, Benjamin Stidham, Grayson Stidham and five great grandchildren. Two sisters Gerri Magee (Charles) and Laine Hardin (Bobby). Jo Ann had recently retired after forty years in the banking industry; and even though she left that venue, she was still in service to others – whether it be working for his son-in-law as his office manager, running shuttle for her grandsons or assisting her daughter prepare her classroom before school began each year. She always thought of others first. She loved her family and was looking forward to reconnecting with all her grandchildren now that she had time. Jo Ann was a faithful member of Hillcrest Church, and it’s pastor, Rev Mark Brand, is officiating at her memorial service today. The family appreciates your presence and your support today. ”And without faith, it is impossible to please Him. For he (she) who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him” Hebrews 11:6
