John Edwin Cook born on May 21, 1928 in Valley Mills, TX and passed away on September 17, 2015 in Frisco, TX. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh Wiley (Buster) Cook and Leora Cagle Cook; siblings, Claire Ora (Patsy) Brown and Hugh Wiley (Bubba) Cook, Jr. Survived by wife, Ellen Louise Cook; daughters, Jennifer Ellen Gilpin, Nancy Gayle Gustine and Laura Alison Dozier; grandchildren, William Preston Beattie, Jr., Jaclyn Kali Gilpin, and Kira Riana Gilpin; grandchildren, Hannah Marie Gustine, Rebekah Lynn Gustine, Samuel Lee Gustine, Sarah Beth Gustine, Susannah Joy Gustine, and Katrinah Grace Gustine; two great-grandchildren, Michael Lee Gustine and Jaxon Lane Smith; and sister, Betty Josephine Baker and numerous cousins. Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 12:00PM – 2:00PM followed by a funeral service at 2:30PM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10:15 AM at DFW National Cemetery.
