John Hobart Crain's Obituary
John Hobart Crain passed away peacefully on November 30 at the age of 94 with family by his side. John was born September 11, 1924 in Trinidad Colorado to parents Grant and Florence (Potter). His brothers Morgan, Houston and Joe preceded him in death.He is survived by his loving wife Bettye, son Greg and daughter Brenda. John and Bettye were married sixty-nine years and had a long wonderful life together.John served his country as a United States Marine, enlisting at the age of 17. He served in WWII seeing combat in the South Pacific at Guadalcanal, Tinian, Tarawa and Saipan. Following his service, he attended Austin College, earning a B.A degree.He was extremely proud of his service and loved God, his country and his family dearly. John was especially giving and generous throughout his life. Always helping whenever and wherever he could. He touched many lives with his generosity and served as an exemplary role model for his cherished children.He will be dearly missed but his memory will be forever with us the rest of our days.There will be a graveside service on December 3, 2018, at Restland Memorial Park from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
