John Ray Keller, “Poppie”, age 89, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2019.Born July 24, 1929, to Oscar George and Mina Kraus Keller in Dallas, Texas, he is preceded in death by his beloved and devoted wife, Marie, to whom he was married almost sixty years. He resided in Dallas, Texas.John was the founder of John R. Keller Masonry, Inc, in 1954 which continues to this day 65 years later.Poppies’ life was his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his son Ray and daughter-in-law Carol; daughter Kay Keller; son Victor and daughter-in-law Nancy. His joy was his grandchildren: Amy, who preceded him in death; Jason and Lisa; Adam and Chandra; Nicole, Taylor, Jacqueline, Kirsten, John, Paige and Veronica; his great-grandchildren: Clayton, Jackson, Harrison, Morgan and Jordan.Funeral services are to be a visitation at 6:30 pm, Friday, January 25, 2019 at Restland Funeral Home, Abbey Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243 469-925-1436; Mass at 1 pm January 26, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Drive, Dallas, Texas, 214-348-7380. Internment at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
