John Darden Painter's Obituary
John D. Painter, 82, former Advertising and Public Relations Director of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo, died on Wednesday, June 18.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, children, Kristen Painter and John Boone Painter, sister and brother-in-law Lana and John Alexander, and a large extended family and many dear friends.
John loved to fish on quiet East Texas lakes and to lie in the sun on the beaches of Port Aransas. He watched "old" movies whenever he could and would easily quote from them.
His family will miss him terribly, but will smile when remembering his quick wit, warm smile, and enduring love.
