Jonnie Stewart's Obituary
91, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2008. Born July 17, 1917 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Clyde and Ava Howell Ingle, she went on to graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in French. At OU she met her husband, John Hamilton Stewart, whom she married on May 17, 1942, and they settled in Dallas in 1956. Her beloved husband preceded her in death in 1974. Jonnie Lee was a current resident of Presbyterian Village North where she had resided since 1994. She will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as an extraordinary wife, dedicated homemaker, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and loyal friend. Jonnie was a member of Pi Beta Phi and a committed member of her church, Churchill Way Presbyterian, where she served as President of Women of the Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Glenn Barnes of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter Linda Osgood of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law Clyde and Joann Ingle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, granddaughter Lisa Barnes of New York City; granddaughter and grand son-in-law, Allison and Chris Mull of Louisville, Kentucky; grandson and grand-daughter-in-law, John and Jennifer Osgood of Denver, Colorado; great-grandchildren Alexis Mull, Logan Mull, and Avery Osgood, as well as numerous nieces, a nephew and dear friends. The family thanks the employees of Presbyterian Village for their many years of kind and devoted care. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10 at 2:00 PM in Restland’s Abbey Chapel, with graveside services to follow in Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association or to the employee fund at Presbyterian Village North.
