Joseph James Poiesz's Obituary
POIESZ, Joseph James “Joe P” passed away September 28, 2017, at the age of 74 as a result of complications from cancer. Born in 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, to Joseph and Harriett (Smith) Poiesz. Joe P served in the US Army in Vietnam for two years. Over 30 years ago, he established Joe P Pest Control, based in Garland, TX. He had a big heart, frequently donating to causes dear to him. Some of these included Boys Town, Boy Scouts of America, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, Spina Bifida Association and Children’s Medical Center. He learned to dance at a very young age and throughout his life continued to enjoy dancing and music of all kinds. He always had a joke or a wisecrack for everyone he knew. He made friends easily and has been a true and loyal friend to so many. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Memorial Services will take place in The Restland Wildwood Chapel, Monday at 12:30 pm. A gathering for lunch will take place after at O’Rileys at 8989 Forest Lane, Dallas 75243.
