Josh was a Southern gentleman…always courteous, friendly and kind. Most of all…..he loved his Lord. We will be sending out 5 Gideon Bibles in honor of Josh. Doug and Betty Dunnam
Josh ,would always seek me out at church and give me the best hug. He was a friend and a member of the Heights Baptist church. I grew up with his kids at church and I always felt he was glad to see me. I will miss seeing you at church. Most of all I will miss your hugs. I'm glad to have known you. Rest In Peace. Martha Walker McClarnon.
Josh Phemister was a good friend to my father, Walter Green, from Buckner days on to being fellow members at Heights Baptist and in the out to lunch "ROMEO" group. Our condolences to the family. -Barbara Wilson
I remember going to visit Uncle Joshua & Aunt Evelyn at their house in Richardson when I was a small girl; about 9 or 10? I always loved going to visit. I remember horses a happy family and a lot of good food.
I have known Mr. Phemister all my life as a member of Richardson Heights Baptist Church. When my boys were old enough to go to school, he was the crossing guard at Heights Elementary. The boys couldn't pronounce his name and called him "Mr. Furniture " their entire elementary school career! He was a sweet man and a loving man. I will certainly miss him. Condolenscenses to his family

I Had the honor of having breakfast on many occasions at the Southern Receipe with Josh. He always wore his Navy cap and was always a gentleman and an absolute role model for all. He and I would talk about our military experience and we're always proud of our country that we had served. I remember Josh on crossing guard duty and he always waved when I drove by. He will be missed and I know he is in heaven shaking hands with all his family and friends as he always did at the Southern Receipe. God Bless you Josh! Randall G. Ochoa former USMC .
Dear Cousins, It seems like such a long time ago when y'all would come to the farm on Sunday afternoon and we would play together and yet it seem like it was only last week at times. Josh was more like a brother to me than an uncle growing up. Did you know that he came to live with us when we lived in Bossier City, LA? I know that your hearts are broken over his death. I just found out last week about his passing., and did not know about your Mother (Evelyn) or Gloria until Minnie Elizabeth sent me the obituary today. I am so sorry for your loss. Please as brothers & sister stay close to each other. Love you & God bless you. contact me at the address below if you would like too. Molly Phemister Spiers 51 S. R.
