Ms. Joyce Hilda Werthmann's Obituary
Joyce Hilda Werthmann of Plano, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on May 3, 1937, in Pipestone County, Minnesota to Mary and Abner Thompson. Joyce married Joe Werthmann after high school, and she dedicated her life to raising her seven children, instilling in them a firm foundation built on faith, hope, and love. She was the most kind, compassionate, caring, selfless woman filled with immense love for her family. We are forever grateful to her for her perfect example of how to live and love unconditionally. Her witty sense of humor brought laughter and love to family and friends when they would least expect it. She accepted hardships in her life with grace, focusing on her immeasurable faith in God. Joyce was our angel on earth … we will always hold her dear to our hearts. Her legacy will live on as we share countless stories and memories of her beautiful life.
Joyce is survived by her seven children: Kim Mihelich and son-in-law Michael; Linda Werthmann; Craig Werthmann and daughter-in-law Shannon; Judy Werthmann; Joe Werthmann and daughter-in-law Sandra; Scott Werthmann and daughter-in-law Mary; and Lori Werthmann. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, her sisters Judy and Janie, brothers Terry and Rich (Diane), and many nieces and nephews.
