June Inez Spaulding's Obituary
SPAULDING, JUNE INEZ
June was born on March 30, 1928 to Oscar Bates and Gladys Rockwood Bates in Kansas City, Missouri. She went peacefully into the Lord's arms on July 6, 2021. June attended Bishop Hogan High School in Kansas City, Missouri and proudly modeled for Macy's department store on the Plaza in Kansas City. In 1949 June and Robert J. Spaulding were joined in holy matrimony. Together they raised four children who were the lights of their lives. June was a devoted wife and mother who considered her family her greatest treasure on this earth.
June is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert J. Spaulding and her daughter-in-law, Carol Spaulding. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Spaulding Blades (Benji), and her three sons, Robert J. Spaulding, Jr., John M. Spaulding (Stacie), James D. Spaulding (Elizabeth), 14 grandchildren: Kimberly Blades Askew (Jeff), Melissa Blades Brewster (Jason), Lindsey Spaulding Lyons (David), Kelly Spaulding, Lori Rios (Louis), Michael Spaulding (Sheyanne), Katie Spaulding Welty (Sam),Trevor Spaulding (Steffanie), Kristen Spaulding, Lauren Spaulding, Gillian Nelson, Garrett King (Katie), Mason King, Meredith King and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 4:00-5:30 p.m.. Funeral service will be Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland.
