Kathleen Kelly Graw's Obituary
Kathleen Kelly Graw, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2020, in Richardson, Texas. She was born on December 18, 1942, to her loving and thoughtful parents, Jack Kelly and Mary Kelly in Providence, RI. Kathleen Kelly Graw will be sincerely missed by her loving family, her devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
She married Julius on April 11, 1970 in Providence, RI. She served in the Army from August 5, 1967 as a 2nd LT and August 5, 1970 as Captain.
She is survived by husband Julius, Dallas, Texas, daughters Kathleen Collier(Jay), Denver, CO, Lorraine Sarles(Joseph), Los Angeles, CA, son Christopher Graw, Dallas, Texas, grandchildren Maeva Sarles & Austin Sarles.
She graduated from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. She was a teacher in Rhode Island Public Schools before joining the Army, where she met her husband, Julius. After they were married, they traveled the world together via various military duty stations and raised their 3 children the same way. In addition to her military service she continued to be active in many military organizations as a military spouse, including being one of the founding members of the local chapter of Military Associated Wives. She loved playing Mahjong each week with her friends of over 30 years, visiting local Museums and she was never far away from a library book. We were all infinitely blessed by her love.
Visitation for Kathleen Kelly Graw will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Restland Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 10:30 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
