Kay Dianne Evans Koberlein Fulk's Obituary
Age 73, passed away January 9, 2017 in Dallas, Texas after a 12 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Paul and Nelleta Evans of Linton, Indiana. She grew up in St. Elmo, Illinois where she excelled in school and often shared fond memories of her family and friends. After relocating to Dallas, Kay volunteered tirelessly to help create the first day camp for the Circle 10 Council Cub Scouts, Camp Thunderbird. Kay worked at Avnet, Formerly Hall-Mark Electronics, for 23 years. During this time she went back to school in order to keep current and volunteered at New Beginnings as a voice for abused women and children. Kay is preceded in death by her father and mother, Paul and Eva Nelleta Evans. She is survived by her husband, Barry Fulk; her son, David E. Koberlein of Austin, TX and wife; daughter, Susan E. Koberlein Baker and spouse, Randall of Wichita Falls, TX; two stepsons, Heath and Clint Fulk of Worthington; three grandsons, Paul, Stephen and Samuel; Heath and Clints kids, Dominic and Brayden; brothers, James Evans of Ragsdale and spouse Susan of Ragsdale, IN and Robert Evans and spouse, Janette. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. A service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Burial in Linton, Indiana will follow on January 16, 2017 where she will rest near her late father, Paul Evans. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
