Kevin Thanh Cao's Obituary
Kevin Thanh Cao (23), Kevin has entered eternal rest on October 2, 2015 in McKinney, Texas to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Parents Tam Minh Cao and My-Uyen Thi Cao proudly welcomed this “miracle child” on April 17, 1992 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Kevin graduated from Plano East Senior High in 2010 and went on to graduate from Texas Woman’s University in 2015 with a degree in Kinesiology. His ambition was to become a Physical Therapist where he could have a positive impact on other individuals’ lives, which was something he had always strived to achieve. Kevin Cao is dearly missed by many, including his loving parents, My-Uyen Cao, Tam Cao, Scott Boyd, Oanh Nguyen, brothers, Jonathan and Thomas Cao; grandparents, Hue and My-Huong Le of Dumfries, Virginia, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Kevin is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Cam Duan Cao and Khiem Cao. Kevin was a very athletic young man. Throughout his life, he found immense enjoyment with swimming, running, water skiing, playing volleyball, soaking up the rays of the sun, and not least of all, break dancing. His boundless discipline and determination had allowed him to excel at any task he was presented with, and he always took it to the highest level of skill and fulfillment. When faced with obstacles and challenges, Kevin was always triumphant as a result of the answers he had acquired through research or questioning. The most important thing to Kevin was spending time with his family and friends. He had two major goals in life, which he shared with several of his closest peers. These two ambitions consisted of making his parents proud and to be a role model for his younger brother, (Jonathan Cao). Kevin had easily accomplished these objectives on a daily basis. He also had an enviable passion for helping others. Anyone whose life Kevin has touched will always remember him for his charming smile and his infectious laugh. He had made his friends feel not as just as ordinary ones but loved and respected by placing high values on them. Kevin had truly left a lasting memory and immeasurable impact in everyone’s lives. Most recently, Kevin and his family had found significant connection with Chase Oak Church, a place where he felt complete peace and contentment. He discovered immediate affinity with the youth group, and it played a major role in his daily life ever since. Kevin undeniably became much closer to God and had never been more confident of his role on this earth and beyond. Kevin Thanh Cao has, indeed, met his God and is basking in His glory. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 9, 2015 at Chase Oaks Church, 201 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75023.
