Lee Allen Baxter's Obituary
Lee was born in Climax, GA. on October 23, 1926 and passed away on November 2, 2014 in Richardson, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Delbert T. Baxter; parents, Jesse L. Allen and Susie Dollar Allen; and brother, Robert M. Allen. She is survived by her sister, Frances Allen Lee of Bainbridge GA.; sister-in-law, Clara Allen of Tampa, FL; three children, Viva Baxter Wilson (Culver Wilson), Terry Allen Baxter (Barry Hensley), and Bruce R. Baxter (Elizabeth Baxter); five grandchildren, Kimberly Wilson Krebs (Keith), Angela Wilson Davidson, Rachel Wilson Whitenton (Michael), Kathleen Baxter, and Bruce Baxter Jr. (Ryan); great grand-children, Natalie, Harton, Landon and Lacy Krebs, Chase and Ava Davidson, and Corey Baxter. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Lee met the love of her life, Del, in Washington D.C. during World War II. He was a young Naval officer and she was an administrative secretary working in the Pentagon. They married in his hometown of Chicago in 1947 and subsequently moved to Texas where they began their lifelong careers working for the Federal Government. She was a devoted wife, homemaker and mother who loved her family. She will be missed by all. The visitation for Lee will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 6:30-8:30pm at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Lee will be on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 3:00pm at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with Dr. Clayton Oliphint officiating the service.
