I worked for Les while attending school back in 1970-1973. One of the best jobs I've ever had. Les transitioned me from a 'farmboy' to a country boy in the big city with a REAL job! I was thinking about Les when I drove by Webb Chapel / Royal the other day and see that his location is now a 7-11 store. I met my wife while working at Les's station – she worked at Jack in the Box next door – so decided to "google him" when I got home and learned that he had passed a couple of years ago.
