Leta Su Arrington's Obituary
Leta Su Arrington was born on August 24,1930, in Dallas, Texas, to Ruby Pauline and Herndon Howard Eubank.
A proud second - generation Oak Cliff resident, Leta grew up deeply rooted in her community. She attended Adamson High School, where her warmth and charm were evident to all who knew her. She went on to graduate from Texas Christian University where she became a social butterfly who lit up every room she entered.
Leta's faith was the foundation of her life. She grew up attending Oak Cliff Christian Church, and on July 31, 1953, she married the love of her life Jerry Nelson Arrington. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and devotion, raising two cherished sons. In 1971, Leta and Jerry were among the founding members of Faith Bible Church in Dallas, where they worshiped faithfully and formed lifelong friendships. within that church family, Leta was part of a special circle known as " The Daffy Dozen" - a close - knit group of joyful souls who became like extended family.
Whether she was substitute teaching at Kimball High Schoo or welcoming guests into her home, Leta had a unique gift for connecting with people. She made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Her kitchen was always open, her table always full, and her heart always ready to serve. She was the life of every gathering, the consummate hostess, and the glue that held together countless friendship and family bonds.
Leta leaves behind a legacy of faith, joy and unconditional love. though she will be deeply missed, her light will continue to shine in the lives of all she touched. She is survived by her two sons, John Chris Arrington and David Herndon Arrington; her daughter- in- law, Shelley Arrington; five grandsons, Chase Arrington and his wife Nico, Reese Arrington, Bryce Arrington, Brooks Arrington, and DJ Arrington; three granddaughters, Elley Burch and her husband Aaron, Amy sullins and her husband Payne, and Katy Grace Lafoy and her husband Brentley; as well as six beloved great - grandchildren. Leta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Nelson Arrington and her cherished daughter- in- law, Janni Arrington
