Lila Lee Henson's Obituary
She was born December 12, 1925 in Bell County, Texas. She graduated from Temple High School and North Texas State College. She married Shelby Ross Henson on December 21, 1947. She is preceded in death by her parents, Payton Purl and Mary Gregory Grimes, and sisters Mary Katherine Avery and Virginia Feagin. She is survived by her husband, her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry & Laura Henson of Fort Worth, daughters Shellee Allison of Aubrey and Angie Henson of Garland, grandchildren June and Blake Henson and Kyle and Crystal Allison, and sisters Elizabeth Nelson and Joyce Gregory and her husband, David. Mrs. Henson was a longtime Richardson resident. She retired in 1991 from RISD, where she was an administrative secretary. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and the Siege of Bexar Descendants. Memorials may be made to diabetes or macular degeneration organizations.
